People:10 fellas with cold toes.....

Duration:5-10

Tide:HW down

Weather:westerly, very cold

Bait:loads of it

Rigs:every kind

Results:whiting, coalies, flounder, dabs, plaice & dogfish




Report:Very poor fishing, almost expected on a dropping neap tide, but we had to get the comp fished before Christmas because who wants turkey & Ham vouchers in January???

Final Results were as follows:

Longest Flat: Brendan Canning (Dab 22cm)
Longest Round: Alby Allan (Coalie 28cm)

1st-Alby------177pts
2nd-Gordy-----150pts
3rd-Conor-----90pts
4th-Mark------85pts

Always good to get out this time of year even if the fishing is not great thats the great thing about a comp there still has to be a winner so the interest is there even though the feeling in the toes may not be :cry:.Thanks for the club info again alby you were very helpful and friendly oh and congratulations on another win.

was one of them comps i thought would never end :lol: went down to size 6 hooks :shock: well done to the winners on a tough evening,thanks to brendan for keeping me awake signing his card a few times :wink: was just nodding off a couple of times due to sheer lack of bites :oops: still i managed a few fish and picked up a dog after the comp finished :mrgreen:

we fished there from 1 - 4 without a single bite must have just missed you. was getting bitter cold when we were leaving so fairplay for sticking it out.

Nice one Alby and John on the over all 1st and 2nd. It was hard going but still really nice to have been after after a few weeks. I was delighted with my first ever 3rd spot. I had some very wise words ratting in my ears :wink: :lol:
