Tide:HW 16:00

Weather:Cold

Bait:Razor

Rigs:pulleys

Results:1 Coalie, 4 Bass.




Report:Got to the mark today at half four still bright didnt have much hope while it was bright.As the light started to go the bites started to come.first bite nice little knock on the rod a schoolie.The next bite was much better a good bang a def bass bite gave a nice few pulls a bass3.5lb very happy with that.Bite were good all through the session then i got a very big bang a good fish a very good fish.had to give him a bit of line my hart was banging at this stage but he was still pulling strong he was starting to come. i thought this was it a double figure bass at last i could see the bass splashing in the surf like mad i knew he was going to come and he did .gutted :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: left a few fxxks out of me.
cast out again bang another bass good fish tipping the 6.5lb mark.things where starting to slow down but did have one more about 4lb .a great day but gutted :cry:

Even though your gutted about the monster bass,at least you caught some
other Bass and you did not blank,that has to be a result!!!!! :D :D :D
But unlucky on losing a fish of a life time but some nice bass and good photo's

Bad luck on the loss of the big one, 6.5 and 4lb arent to be sniffed at, well done.

Your 3.5lber would make my winter!!! Congrats.
2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).

some lunkers are just not ment to be landed :lol: just think yourself lucky to get a scrap like that alot of lads never get the pleasure 8) wobbly legs and adrenaline thats what keeps us at it :lol:

Your killing me ray... that was some bass fishing. hard to believe you diddnt get any cod. cant wait to get down again..

Well done Ray,
I was expecting the bass to have moved off shore with this cold weather - must have a crack at them during the week if the roads arn't too icy.
Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)
Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)
