Around 50 Coalies, Pollack, Pouting, Codling, Rock Goby
Report:
Went up the coast with the intention of fishing for something a bit special, it didn't work out that way, and as the night went on the plague of coalies just wouldn't leave the baits alone. They weren't the worst size of fish, with some of them in the Mid 30cm range. But still we were hoping for better fish than that.
Could have went 3 miles up the road for that standard of coalie fishing! Saying that, it was a great night, and we had our eyes opened to the potential of the mark.
Its weird, if you went out to target coalies you would have been doing backflips with the fishing we were getting, but since they were getting in the way of all the other species it was kind of an anti-climax.
Oh well, next time!
