Report:
Took a whim to go fishing so headed to sligo with no plan laid out was going to stop in Ballysodare to get some frozen bait but found out that the shop is not there anymore that left me with two options Ballina or Mullaghmore as i didn't want to drive around sligo town looking for the shop for bait. Mullaghmore it was.
Arrived to find that i couldn't get abit in the shop there as the owner was heading for a trip out. So i said may as well asked could i jump on took a trip for a couple of hours and got dose of mackerel and a few launce. Have to point out that Rodney Lomax was a pure gentlemen in letting me on as he wasn't heading out with a paying group but let me join the trip anyways. When i arrived back in the bug wasn't quenched so with a few mackerel and the launce headed for a rock mark. First cast landed my first ever rockling before i even had my second rod out. Fished a 3 hook flapper on the second which wasn't touched all evening. Landed a nice conger after a couple of hours another first so i was delighted. The evening was lovely no sign of any rain so stayed on landed another rockling then as the tide started to fall further things went quiet. Got chatting to a couple of lads who had been there spinning and they started to leger baits as they had seen me catch i moved after a while up near them to fish deeper water and landed a couple of dogs and lost 2 other fish. As the light faded the lads started to catch pollock and mackerel on feathers things had gone quiet for me and i started to snag up and lost a couple of rigs so i followed suit and got two pollock of around 2 lb each and loads of smaller pollock. Just in the door now and had a mack for the tea lovely end to a good day.
