People:myself

Duration:18:45 to 21:00

Tide:high 19:01 4.6m

Weather:cold and dry

Bait:lug,mackerel,sandeel,squid

Rigs:two hook flapper,feathers

Results:2 dogfish,4 pollack,2 coalfish

Report:i went to a beach first and the bites were slow, got one dogfish on squid
dog1.jpg
then I headed to a nearby pier and when I arrived and looked at the water I didn't expect to catch much as the water was very brown from all the fresh water flowing from the mountains after all the heavy rain the last few days

I cast one rod at distance and dropped the other line down by the edge of the pier and within a minute I landed the first pollack
pollack1.jpg
got the other pollack and coalfish shortly after
coalfish1.jpg
pollack2.jpg
had only one bite at distance and landed another dogfish

its the other way around, the pollack were bigger then the ones I normally get,I only had 1 or 2 that were fit for the pan from that mark over the summer

Good results for short session Gerry. Although I'm starting to think that a blank is nearly better than catching a doggie these days. The bane of the Clare coast line.

Well done again
