cheap bait box supply

#1 Post by m.b3 »

use the tubs from spreadable butter as bait boxes. clean them out with hot water and kitchen towel. less messy than newspaper- no flapping around in the wind and your bait won't get wet. it is very important that don't overcrowd the baits (if you are fishing the next day u will get away with it). 10 large king rag to a tub, 20 medium, 30 small. mark the bait type and quantity on the lid or side with a permanent marker for easy identification. place a layer of kitchen paper, dry coral/ coarse sand, compost or the decorative grit used for gardening on the bottom of the tub. put the worms in followed by some damp seaweed. with practice the worms will easily last a week this way. cheers.

ice cream tubs

I use ice cream tubs as they are bigger, as for newspaper people use it for storing worms as it keeps them in good condition.
