poolbeg

#1 Post by liamemac »

location: poolbeg

tide: high to low

time: 11am-3:30pm

lures: rapala

result: 9 bass

after a blank session at poolbeg on saturday, decided to try again sunday morning, so packed the gear and jumped on the bike. weather seemed promising, light offshore breeze intermitent sun and nice clear water. had never tried lure fishing for bass as have only been fishing for a couple of months so was looking forward to getting a feel for it. it didnt take long :D 5 casts in and and the lure got hit like a steamtrain  and bang! my first bass on a lure :D i had just composed myself after this when, bang! i was on again! this continued for the next three hours, with the fish ranging from schoolies to the biggest at what must be around 4 pounds. still cant believe my luck, or beginners luck  cant wait to go back and try again.

my name is brian, and im a bass fishing addict :D

And yet another bass and lure addict is born, well done Brian 8) Welcome to the club! That was some session, a fantastic result on what was your first time out lure fishing. I hope your next session is just as good for you.

the above link tells how to upload photos. You'll see a comment in the post from jim from cork. Download that file and when you're in your "my pictures" file, right click and you'll see "resize picture" in the drop down menu. Add that file and it should work for you. By the way, well done on all the bass. Looking forward to seeing the photos. :)
