Re: east cork league open youghal
Well done to Paudie 13 fish not a bad haul.
But on a sadder note I pegged this venue this morning to be greeted by litter in the form of peg numbers left by some angling club that had fished the venue in the last 2 days,
We as anglers a very quick to criticise non nationals for leaving litter after then.
I’m not going to name the club who left this litter after them but someone might recognise the printing on the A4 sheets and put up their hand and take responsibility.
3 were found on the grass and the other 2 were rolled in a ball and thrown over the bank onto the weed

well done paudie,
will have to hold the the hands up for this one as i pegged the bank fri night ,however i did say it to one of the lads in low number to tell all anglers down along the bank too pick up there numbers and i reminded lads around me at the end to take up theres. they should not have been left there but would be a lot worse if plastic was left there.

Weldone Paudie great win indeed.
Leaving litter of any sort is un-acceptable from anyone and the anglers in question will be told as much by their club.
I do feel a better option in any event would of been to just pick it up and let the club know with a call rather than publicly airing the minor offence!!!
Lets not turn the comp result into a who done what thread!

well done paudie great result
amazing to see reports of this comp when there was silence before it not a peep did i hear about this comp till the friday before it and then to make things worse i was told at check in that there was no longest fish pool only to be told when i was marking the card of one of the host club anglers that there was a pool for the host club anglers only which totaly disgusted me. around 13 anglers fished this open which to me is a disgrace coulda been a lot more if it was advertised. carry on such as this is the real reason there is this "them and us" attitude developing among match anglers

it also must be said the prizes handed out for this match were really top notch, an excellent selection of angling gear, pity it did not get the support it deserved.

That pool is an on going thing between the Aghada anglers and even when there is on optional pool in other open competitions we still have a €5 a man for the longest fish dogs and eels excluded.bhoy32 wrote:to make things worse i was told at check in that there was no longest fish pool only to be told when i was marking the card of one of the host club anglers that there was a pool for the host club anglers only which totaly disgusted me.
3 of us fished the Masters the week before with different clubs and had the €5 a man at each session.
Sundays comp was a rool over jackpot from the last session of the Masters.
