lenen pier 16/10/10

#1 Post by fishermannum1 »

People: me /thomas/bigtom

Duration:app: 9 1/2 hours

Tide: all stages

Weather like a summers day

Bait mac/squid/sandeel

Rigs: pullys/flappers

Results: me 1 turbot 2 flounder, thomas 1 coalie

Report: have been moving home so this was my first trip out in a fortnight and i was really looking forward to it, so we hit the pier at lenen. from the off things were very slow, i think it was over an hour before i got a hit, and i landed a small turbot. then it was back to watching motionless rod tips, the whole session was the same, very slow. thomas got a few hits but no hook ups, near the end of the day he then landed a small coalie. tom also got a few hits, got the hook up, but it came off on the way in  fishing was dire to say the least, but with all the stress of moving home it was just great to get out and relax, and have a bit of crack. not a great days fishing but the company and bander was the same as allways....great 8)

Hard luck on the blank Tom, not to worry, you'll get them next time! Did you not have your lucky hat on? Maybe that's what was wrong
I'm glad to hear you got out for a session Don and enjoyed the banter and crack because from what I hear moving house can be very stresssful. Nice one on the turbot 8) Are the rays gone now? There hasn't been much being reported on them lately from up in Donegal and so I was just wondering if there is still any about. I never did get up for a thornie session with you up at Fahan this year, aww well, maybe next year fingers crossed 8)
