Beara Peninsula, Co. Cork 12/10/10

People:me

Duration:1630-1930

Tide:flooding HW 2100

Weather:hot sunny bright calm

Bait:sandeel, black lug, squid

Rigs:pulley and two hook flapper

Results:5 bass 2-3 pound

Report:
Had to go out with the weather so good and conditions dictated to fish a deep water rock mark so for some reason I fished a shallow beach. The five bass all came on sandeel when it was hot, sunny, bright, calm - I never got a bite when the sun went down.
60 years fishing and I still cannot make any sense out of it at times, part of the fun I suppose!!
Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.

Well done Paul on the bass. What more could you want from a fishing session - great weather and a good number of fish caught, the perfect day out as far as I am concerened. By the sounds of things conditions would have been ideal for giving the lures and plugs a good run out for the bass, although the bait fishing was doing the business for you which is great. Maybe next time. Well done again.
