Dollymount 05/10/2010

#1 Post by dfella25 »

People:Gordy and me

Duration:7 till 10

Tide:Rising HT at 10:22

Weather:SSW winds to 30kph but died down later on. Oh and dry

Bait:Rag Razor and Mac

Rigs:2 hooked clips size 2's and flappers size 2's

Results:Loads of flounders and a coalie

Report:Managed to get Gordy to fish for a different species then his normal want. Plan A got knackered after a few texts to our spy's to check about weed and surf so with bait in hand we hit the local for a few. Fish from the off, however it died after two hours.

After the appreciated advice I got last week about reflector tape I was out and shinning tonight too with the "Mighty Bright" tape I got. It worked a treat and certainly did not effect the bites from the rod.

Fair play, myself, mb3, markyb and 2 of my mates gave it ago the night before and all blanked. There was a big surf on the beach though, the water was coming up to the top of the carpark!

It's called "mighty bright" tape. You can buy online at the above link. That's the first link that popped up when i googled it so might be worth your while scouting round for a cheaper site.

Lads it's called "Mighty Bright" and I was told about it here in Shore Angling Q&A. Rory I was able to get it in Henry's Tackle last week. And Al I had t move the van back last night in some hurry. I parked past the waterline but it flooded up further in a matter of seconds. I don't think it would have come in much more though.
