SATURDAY 25TH SEP PORTRUSH ROCK MARK 5PM TO 9PM
we drove up the coast checking out a few marks to see where was fishable, but jordan had his heart set on waterfoot peir. but as i expected when we arrived the place was packed so we just went on up the coast. we arrived to our second intended spot to find it deserted. good stuff! so i set up 2 rods on the bottom while jordan fished a set of feathers below a sliding float set up. from the off the wrasse were taking the rag and lug tight to the bottom while jordan was having fun with the pollock and coalies. nothing of any size but good fun all the same. i got a savage knock on the bottom spinning rod baited with bluey and a great scrap with a conger was on
SUNDAY 26TH SEP ANTRIM COAST ROCK MARK NOON TO 5PM
with a load of mackeral and bluey left over we decided on a rock mark for a bit of bottom fishing where some nice ling had been taken the week before. but from the first cast to the last it was apparent we were in dogtown as they were munching every bait we put out in minutes
MONDAY 27TH SEP ANOTHER PORTRUSH ROCK MARK 2PM TO 8PM
with jordan off to school i was ment to be out with dawsey. but he was loaded with the flu so it was a solo session this time and i decided on another portrush rock mark. it was nearing low tide as i arrived so all the usual mackie bashers were nowhere to be seen so i quickly threw a conger rod out, set up a single hook rig on the long surf rod and nailed it at distance and set up some feathers on the spinning rod. the long surf rod was hammering the wrasse at distance from the first cast and some pretty respectable ones came in between 2lb and just over 3lb
