Report:
This will probably be the last report from this mark, before we hit the beaches this year. I think the offshore wind didn't help, and kept the bigger fish well out, for that's were I got my first Pollack of the day. However we had plenty of fish on the float, small pollack, coalies and wrasse. Nothing to the fly this time, but I managed to lift a nice little pollack on spun sandeel, using my new purchase, a Salt flattie rod, matched with my blue yonder multi. A nice set up, and I can't wait to get using it on the beach this year. A lovely rod in the hand, and cheap as chips. Anyway back to the fishing. I can only describe it as steady. Kev got the nicest fish of the day, a nice Ballan Wrasse, one of three good Wrasse he had in the session.
Disappointment of the day has to be those damn Lobster pots, hampering my distance rod. Had hooked a fish and was reeling in, absolutely nowhere near the marker bouy. I must have hooked the rope a good 30yds from the bouy, trace and fish plus 50yds of line gone..
How much damn rope do they need!! Anyway not a bad day, plenty of fish, may be worth one more trip!
