Bass Hunt Co. Antrim Sat11th

#1 Post by crazyfish1983 »

People- me and the usual two suspects

Tide- drop, ebb and drop again

Rigs- Pulleys and flappers

Time- sat 10 pm to sunday 11 am

Results- me 2 decent flounder, two mates- nothing except a huge bite at 4.30 am.

Bait- rag worm

Set off for our usual bass ground at 9.00 pm on saturday. thought it was a bit early in the year but we were itching t get at them again. Gt set up on a droping tide and hopes set up on high to. After a few can's i noticed a twitch in my rod tip and wound in a nice flounder of a bout 1/2 pound. So the blankety blank was avoided... halelulja. time got on a bit and another nice we bite revealed a flounder blank was definatel off. As 4 am came around it was time to reside to the jeep for a snooze. 4.30 came and my mate sounded like he had just swallwed a wasp squeling enough to wake me up- his rod was bouncing on the tripod like mad- wsa only a bite a bass can produce... needless to say he lost it. All in all not a great's nte fishing for the hours put in. Still waiting on my first bass. They are there though as the other two guys have proved :x :x :x

You cant be sleeping when your Bass fishing mate if you get a good hook up it will have the rod away mate its not the first time my rod has been pulled out of the tripod and dragged down the beach a bit. It sounds like you are fishing the mark at the right state of tide and the right time of night because if your there earlier there is usually to many cars on that beach with headlight shining into the surf.
