I should usually of fish nearer high with a preference for a spring for the pier in kilteery but choosing when I fish is usually down to when I can get out. With the night the way it was I didn't want to chance anywhere else.
I've heard the rocks in carrigaholt produce good winter fishing and through up the odd codling but I'm not sure of what tides and the specific places to fish. Saying that its a 2 hour drive out there for me.
My Estuary fishing is usually poor from November through to the middle of march so I only get out a couple of times a month. I think I'll concentrate consistent casting and maybe trying for pike.
