Rathmullan Boat

#1 Post by nobuzz »

I'm heading out on a boat from Rathmullan with some guys from work on 18th September.

Can anyone tell me what sort of fishing we can expect.

Thanks in advance.

Hi nobuzz fishing outa Rathmullan is pretty decent this year, I was out on Saturday and had 11 species.
You will pick up Pollock, Coalies, and Ballan Wrasse at Fanad Light, you will get these on the wreck of the Laurentic also along with Ling, Cuckoo wrasse, pout and poor cod. Over the sand you will get all three gurnard, Codling, and dogs with the chance of a thornie or spurdog.
They have quite good tope fishing and they caught a 150lb porgie on Thursday last.

Cheers
