A few sessions Kilmore to Waterford. 14-19 Aug.

#1 Post by jonniace »

Hi all. Fished a few sessions between Kilmore and Waterford. The weed was really bad for the first 3 days and then the huge swarms of flies came out, which sometimes made fishing impossible, still, caught a few fish and downed some pints. Was fishing at Cullenstown beach and had a Bass of at least 6 pounds follow my plug and almost beach itself, i'm sure my heart missed a beat, never had one on a plug, not for the want of trying. Back in September to try again. Ah, it sure is a hard life.

Forgot to say. Bait used was crab and lug, no mackerel, although we did try for them every session, did'nt even see 1 caught all week. And all fish (and lobster), returned unharmed.
