People:Me and a mate
Duration:7pm till 1am
Tide:HT round 10pm
Weather:Balmy
Bait:Lug/Peeler
Rigs:Various
Results:2lb Bass, several ton of seaweed
After stopping off at Dave Tillys were set up by 7pm on a beautiful evening. Started off with lug both close in and far out.
Within two hours we had lost 5-6 rigs, the weed was so thick and heavy that it was a nightmare, only for we had travelled and bought the bait we would have called it a day. After about two hours I decided to unlease the peeler with a 40 yard lob which had only landed in the water when the rod bent. Eventually when the rig came back on the beach a small bass made a nice suprise. Fished on till about 1am but things were very quiet, beautiful evening just to be out.
Went back on saturday between 5 to 8 pm to use up the bait, managed a small doggie and two micro pollack before being washed out of it by two torrential showers. There was a gent. spinning down by the river sat. might have been the way to go. Words of praise for Mr.Tillys bait, first class.
