There was no fish on the cards.... :o
UP THE DEISE!!!!!!!

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

KStaff winning matches is the new black.

59cm across the wings. We gave it 8-10lb at the time. but I seem to remember a similar sized fish recently going over 12lb.
Has anyone got a good conversion chart

Donal was saying that any painted Ray he gets over 59cm he gets the scales because it's usually over/about 10lb.
Cracking fish though :mrgreen:

Using this info from www.ices.dk/marineworld/fishmap/ices/pdf/thornback.pdf

The relationships between disc width (D) and total length (L), and total length and total weight (W) are given
by the following relationships (unpublished data):
D = 0.6930 L - 0.2480
W = 0.0042 * L 3.1129

D=59cm measured on the day

4337.7g
aprox 9.6lb

Would that sound right?
Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm a physicist not a marine biologist.
