Between work & car trouble I managed to fit in a few quick short sessions over the past two weeks as I haven’t been out in ages
But the highlight was Pat hooking into a lovely Mullet around the 6lb mark which he almost landed until the last minute when the hook popped out & this happened twice to him
It was the first time I’ve seen Mullet been caught from this mark whilst bottom fishing for Wrasse. Tried a bit of spinning but could only get a short cast due to the wind but did catch two Mackerel for the dinner
The tide was on the fill so we had to move to a different mark that we seen Mullet before, packed up the gear & made our way over to see if any were about.
Arrived fifteen minutes later got set up, very quiet at the start then the Mullet turned up in numbers feeding near the surface, so I got myself into position & dropped the bait down the where they were feeding but no joy, but then I got a pluck the mullet was more interested in my lead weight than the lug
