Report:This computer has a mind of its own of late, crashing in the middle of typing reports. So here we go again.
Set a target at the start of the year of 50 bass over 40cm, and with only 8 caught before the ban decided to chance my arm at lure fishing.
There was mention of a staycation for this year which suited me fine and I somehow managed to wrangle a week in Dingle at the end of june :D instead of a week in Mayo during the bass ban  as was originally suggested. Met up with a really sound guy down there who brought me to a mark for 2 short nite sessions where we had 39 fish between us for a total 4 hrs fishing. He outfished me by 26-13 which probably had something to do with the length of time I was taking to remove trebles from both the fish and myself  , but at least I was catching for a change.
Arrived back in Dublin thinking that I was 'King of the Bass' but there's nothing like a few blanks to deflate a swelled head and so settled back into catching 1 fish for every 2 sessions at Wexford marks.
We went to Cork last weekend (bank holiday) to visit friends and I had a sneaky little session from 2am-5am on Monday morning while everyone was sleeping. The area was hopping with sandeels and 6 bass to 3lb were landed, 5 were over the 40cm mark. I'll be back to visit again soon  .
Was out again last nite in Wexford 7/8/10, again only 1 fish at 2lb, but they are all welcome, especially on light gear.
PB is still only 3lb 8oz so I'll only upload a couple of photos as one 2lb bass looks very much like the next.
