Re: Poetic Justice in Skerries
Althouth not quite as good we we plaugued by weekend warriors on jetski's in Noth Clare on Sunday. They were buzzing the small pier close to where we were fishing a nearby beach, obviously enjoying the 'Attention' of the large group of family's and tourists enjoying a quite Sunday lunch.
The actions were gettting more daring, splashing the pier and trying to knock off their passengers. Somehow two of the three ski's overturned, one recovered but couldn't re-start and the other was having more problems. The remaining ski came to recover the two drifters and towed them in to the far bank, one of them still upside down.
They didnt look so impressive after about an hour when the only running one had to ferry all the riders to one side of the estuary so they could get lifts and trailers for the dead ski's.

The Truth is often stumbled upon by men, most of whom pick themselves up and hurry along as if nothing ever happened.

Re: Poetic Justice in Skerries
Likewise I was snorkelling at a local cork beech at the weekend, the place had about 200/300 people there and about 60 in the water. There was an anchored boat and about 30 kayaks. Along come some foreign muppets in a rib terrorising the waters and leaving a big wake.
A few hours later a car drives passed all the kids on the beach and drives straight into the water and turns hard (to get a splash) and comes out...trailer in tow.... about 200m from the road over sand... then reverses the trailer back into the water.
Needless to say they got the rib on... but both trailer and car were stuck fast with a fast rising spring. After about 20 minutes, another mate comes down in his audi to tow out the car and trailer and...... yep got stuck also
after a bit of manoeuvring 15mins later they free the audi, and following some shouting in a foreign lanuage (loosely translted to give it full wellie or I'm gonna loose everything!!!) the man hopes back in the audi and a load of people help out with the pushing... in a cloud of smoke and sand and the acrid smell of burnt clutch and rubber at 8000revs everything were pulled out and safe...
Funny none the less
