People:myself and Brian from work

Duration:19:00 to 00:00

Tide:high 20:35 4.7m

Weather:showers and strong west wind

Bait:rag,mackerel,sand eel,feathers

Rigs:feathers,2 hook flappers

Results:Brian 2 dogfish myself 5 pollack,1 Benny,1 sea scorpion,1 poor cod

Report:Brian who works with me wanted to head out on another session so I brought him to a local pier where we set up some bait on the rods first, noting happened for the first hour so I decided to try for mini species as I had never tried for them before

first fish caught on the mini rig was a small pollack

followed by a benny who put up a great fight on the light gear

I had a few casts to see if there were any mackerel around but none showed but did catch a few pollack on the feathers

Brian had a pretty quite night until he landed a dogfish

i set up a conger rod for awhile but the bait was untouched

next fish caught was a small sea scorpion on the mini rig

I asked Brian to release the sea scorpion and never laughed as much when he caught hold of it and it started vibrating,he got the fright of his life

I was happy after the session,I added 3 new species :D :D will have to try for the mini species more often

if I have identified them wrong let me know
