Headed to a mark to do a bit of pollock fishing,first few casts got a couple of mackeral then was pulling in pollock three at a time but they wher all under size returned quikly "they,ll grow" after a few more casts i got another few macks then a launce,,,mackeral wher scarce today for sum reason,,,nothing taking for ages after that,so i had the boat rod in the car from the day before,made up a mackeral flapper sounds tasty yeh put a good size hook in it and flicked it out left it on the ratchet,,,,,,,,,,,,,kept spinning on the other rod then hit into a nice size pollock around the three pound mark put up a nice little fight,,as i just landed him i heard the ratchet going struck it,thought i was stuck in rocks because it was solid but could feel a bit of movement,,i think i pulled him out his hole ,landed a nice little conger,,,released to fight another day,,

Nice pix again Jamie Noticed lots of small pollack - "snots' - inshore round here this year, but there's been reports of 8lbers caught off the rocks further along in Sligo. The water might be a bit more settled up there maybe.
