Hi,
I've been using spinners etc since a was a child. Recently I started using plugs and jellyworms on leadheads with poor results (more to do with where I have been using them than any other reason.) I might get a chance over the next couple of weeks to have a go in a more bassy area and I was wondering if the Storm Schads are any use. I've got the sidewinder type ones. Any advice would be appreciated

Yes. They're a useful addition to the pluggers' weaponry but they're not The Complete Answer, no single lure is. Best way is to build a collection of different lures and see what works in various venues, times, conditions etc. And dont dismiss a lure on the basis of one or two blanks. Sometimes the fish will take anything you chuck at them, other times they wont notice anything, even a €25 plug, its a bit more about figuring out the fish than what to buy in the tackle shop. If there was one never-fail catch-every-time lure we'd all be out there lashing the water with it right now
