South Dublin Bass

#1 Post by Tommy B »

People:Just me

Duration:12-3pm

Tide:Falling

Weather: Overcast and warm

Bait:

Rigs:Lures

Results: 1XBass 5lb

Report:
Decided to try out a mark nearer to home rather that going to Wexford. Arrived at the mark first time fishing here for Bass and didn't expect anything. After about 30 minutes I thought I was stuck in a rock until the rock started to bite back. I really thought I had a monster on, the fight was so good. I didn't think I would land this one but really wanted to get a look at what I had and it obliged me by hitting the surface. Couldn't believe it was a bass so then I put a lot of effort into landing him he had me all over the place. So much so that when I did land him I heard a round of applause and looked up to see an old guy clapping :D , he had obviously seen the whole fight!!!
Can't say how happy I am with this catch as it is only 15mins from my house. I really hope there are more there and that this just wasn't a big fluke.

Goodness gracious me, without this clarification, DL will probably have more fishermen next weekend than those who had flooded the festival today :P
