Waterfoot Pier, Co Antrim, 24/07/10

#1 Post by magelite »

People:Me

Duration:5 Hours

Tide:Fished from high water (10am to 3pm)

Weather:Cloudy with little or now wind

Bait:Lug

Rigs:2 Hook clip down

Results:1 Flounder, 1 small Codling, small Dab, small Plaice plus numerous tiddlers.

Report:Was quite a nice day on arrival. As soon as i set up and was in the water the usual bite after bite from small fish. Plenty of crabs stripping bait also but in between got a nice enough flounder that made me happy enough plus plenty of other small ones. Been on the lookout for another big Plaice and thats what got me back again. Its not the best of spots sometimes especially on Saturdays with the busy it gets but the fact you have your car right beside you and also that red bay has some great fish in it sometimes it pays off.
