Tide:low 19.36 1.8m

Weather:heavy showers and a north wind

Bait:lug,sand eel,mackerel,razorfish,feathers

Rigs:feathers,3 hook flappers,conger trace

Results:myself 2 flounder,1 pollack,edmond blank




Report:the chef from work wanted to go fishing again so I brought him to a spot I was told that there were mullet so we had a go for them first,plenty of mullet about and had a few bites but no hook ups then we moved to a beach and I got one flounder

,we saw a heavy shower heading our way so we packed up and while it was raining we headed for the pier

I set up one rod for conger and the other with a 3 hook flapper,soon after landed another flounder

the conger bait was untouched all night,had a few casts to see if any mackerel around and landed one pollack

best of luck with the mullet hunt Brian,I hadn't the right set up for trying for mullet that night as I just went to have a look around the mark,I only had the beach caster and a large float,lucky the wife asked me to pick up a loaf of bread when I was passing the shop,had to tell her I got hungry when I brought her back half a loaf
even with the set up I had I still had a few bites I was happy getting the bites as it was my first time trying for mullet
I will definitely be back to the mark on the incoming tide,from looking at the amount of shells and the amount of worm casts on the beach I think it will produce a lot of fish
