weed 10/7

#1 Post by eeler »

People:myself and others for a while

Duration:2100 to 2300

Tide:rising

Weather:wet windy

Bait:lug rag crab

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:2 bass

Report:i was planning a allnighter for saturday night so i spent a couple of hours digging lug and rag on friday. got to the beach at seven tonight to see a good big surf coming in and lashing rain, perfect for bass i tought, set up and cast out the rods and had two schoolies in the first half an hour, everything was going well then the weed came so i went down to one rod and fished for another two hours but it got so bad i had to pull in every couple of mins, plumster called for a while but he had sense and went somewhere else. gave up at eleven but not before i managed to cut the hand of myself cleaning the weed off the line and then grabed a jellyfish with the other hand and got a good sting off that to cap it all off

by the sounds of it you did well enough to even get 2 bass man  . having to contend with weed and one hand cut and one hand stung   sounds like a right nightmare :(
