#1 Post by Guest »

I am going up to donegal for the May Bank Holiday around the Dungloe area near Crohy head i know its a good mark for Pollack,Coalifish,Ballan Wrasse and the inevitable Dogfish :D What can i expect to catch is it too early 4 pollack?? What can i expect fishing of a pier onto broken ground with sand patches as legering is totally new to me????

broken ground

hello guest.

Broken ground dog fish and flat.s.Iawlays use mackerel as the first bait , if I have timeI would dig Lug and use that. Use a gripped lead if you dont want to drift into a snag.I would suggest you ask locally where the clean ground is between the rocks. If you can get an overhead view of the venueyou will see for yourself. Be prepared to loose some gear in such ground.
good luck
