Re: Mackerel Reports '10 here......
Was out at da wall for bout 2.5 hours this evening, with none to be had! Didn't even see a single sprat swimmin the wall. Did however see a mullet jump like a salmon, but nothin else! Might give it another week and try again!!!! Hopefully the family that had spent the evening in my fav spot will not be there next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for life....that is unless he is into sport fishing and practices catch and release.hahaha!!

just in from a dissapointing mackerel session..well i only fished for about an hour and a half at the metal man in tramore...not even a sniff..thats my second outing in a week and only 2 fish to show for it...what the hell is goin on..the metal man is usually e great spot for the makerel...anybody know what the story is...........
on a different note went out for a evenings bass fishin the other day caught 2 nice bass about the 2/3 pound mark but by god was i plauged by bloody eels...2 days in a row every cast without fail...little beggars nearly done my head in...nice to know they are makin a comeback though

42 Mackerel yesterday at the back of Irelands Eye. Probably would have been more except for the bloody seal.

Re: Mackerel Reports '10 here......
Venue: Clifden area, 5th July
Time: 9.30PM 'till dark
Tide: half tide and flowing
Conditions: partly cloudy, breezy from the west
Result: No macks (three little sprat pollack on luminous shrimp lure)
At least I didn't blank, but alas nothing for the table

Re: Mackerel Reports '10 here......
Plenty just out of Dunlaoghaire harbour this evening .I was out with the kids and didnt wet my own line for sorting out their tangles and removing fish.Filled the box and had to come back in after an hour .Probably just as well seeing as we were all soaked anyway with constant drizzle .
For the west pier casters they were well in casting range at times .No one fishing there tonight .They must all be fair weather fishermen .
