when i make loop rigs most of the time they don't release , the hook gets stuck on the loop ,can anybody tell me what im doing wrong?

rc when you make your rigs do you use a breakaway imp or a impact shield a srt spring above top snood and adjustible crimp under neath helps keep everything nice and taut also it may not be your rigs do you feather your reel when you impact the water this may be the culprit anyway ill have a look at the rigs next time i see ye

they are prone to tangling/ bottom hook catching the loop. dont make the loop too long and keep to 20/25lb line. the way you cast can tangle them up too. make sure when you put the hook in the cascade on the loop that the hook point it is facing away from the loop.
