			people: myself and john
duration: 9 till 3
tide: out then in
bait: sand eel and squid
rigs: up and overs
results: ray dogs hounds and a whiting
headed out for a quick ray bash last night got to the mark around 9 set up the two rods hopes were high but then the dogs came on the feed big time
then john picked up a small hound on a squid bait which was a nice change from all the dogs then i noticed that one of my rods wasnt getting any bites which was strange cos all the dogs so i taught to myself ray so i picked up the rod and lifted into what felt like a good sized ray it had my conoflex nemesis plus doubled but i was wrong about the good size bit i couldnt believe how small it was when i got it on the beach it felt like some of the big ray i have caught but it was just bigger than my hand
but it was still a ray we had a few more cast after that but we got noting but dogs so we called it a night

			Well done Shane and John
It makes a nice change from going after the hounds all the time even although your good at that. That wee ray is class looking - don't worry about how small it is, size isn't everything
nice pics and report, well done boys.

Good one Conor
I can just see it now, although we wouldn't do such a thing of course (before someone shouts at me for saying that) that would be cruel

ah the big lads wont be in till august so ill be hitting the beaches just about every night in that month but its worth it when you have over 10lb of east coast ray on the end of your line

An East Coast Ray is good capture, no matter what the size. Well done Shane.... Hopefully the next one will prove that you have normal sized hands
