louth tope
People: plumster and myself
Duration:around 1200 to 1900
Tide:high around 1400
Weather: sunny
Bait mack
Rigs:tope rigs
Results:4 tope
Report:Launched at mornington and headed up to get some macks which were scarce enough, after about a hour and a half we had about fifteen so we anchored up to try for tope, nothing for the first couple of hours so we moved in to shallower water, the tide had started to run fairly hard at this stage, we weren't at this spot long when i got my first run which i hooked into. after playing him for about ten mins darrens reel started screeming off and he hooked into his a bigger fish which jumped out of the water three times befor heading off on a run of about a hundred yards. after another few minutes i landed mine and he landed his after another while, we had two more runs each, i got two more smaller ones about 25 and 30lbs and darren had one drop the bait and one what seemed like a big fish break off after a really powerfull run. we fished for another hour and a half or so then headed in. a great few hours fishing with plenty of action.

Re: louth tope
Excellent Fishing lads. There seems to be a nice few tope about the place up there at the moment. I will have to have a look at towing up for a bash.
I've tried Greystones a couple of times this year with just one run yesterday evening to count for my troubles. Hopefully I'll get the first of the year soon enough.
