Weather:20mph Northerly

Rigs:3 Hook flappers
Results:4 Flounder, 2 Thornback Ray, 2 Dab
1st Stan McNeilly 215pts
2nd David Garvan 138pts
3rd Al Williams 20pts
HR: Stan McNeilly, Thornback Ray 5lb 1oz
HF: Al Williams & Adam Bowers, Flounder 4oz each
Report:
An early start left us with a clear run the whole way to the venue and all was going well until we got to Londonderry. “Did you know you were doing 66mph in a 50” Not a good start.
There were already anglers on the beach so a speedy unpack was needed and after quick walk to the mark we had rods in 20 minutes early. Unfortunately there was a bit of weed in the water only rivaled by the waters of the Solent. The first fish did not show for over 2 hours when a Ray of 3lb 14oz was landed by me and after this a few bites started to show. After some missed bites another Ray of 5lb 1oz was landed by Stan. After this only a few small flatties put in an appearance leaving us a bit disappointed with the lack Rays.

Well done lads. The rays are not in in the numbers they usually are. This time last year you could hardly keep them off the hook.
