23and a half hour session conamara

bait .. allsorts.

weather..north wind but fine..

rigs..allsorts..

RESULT.. stef and anto came down from dublin for a marathon session.picked me up and off we went.. stoped for dinner in leenan, and meet doggie1313 and john who where busy tasty some of the fine pints in the village,, nice one lads.. got to the mark at 7pm and set up fishing.. anto was first off the mark with a ray, while stef was off with the doggies.. iwas busy chasing the conger who where playing games with us all night missed 8 in total.. as the night went on the slagging was going and the crack was good.. up came the tents and we set in for the night... ANTO the next time we go camping leave the kitchen sink behide you his tent was like a 4 star hotel.. while myself and stef had a shack pitched on a hill not good for sleeping...during the night the fish where coming in for myself and anto geeting ray while stef was on the doggies.. put our heads down at about 2am and where back up at it about 4am hoping for some early mackeral.. i was first off the mark with the mack soon after that loads of fresh bait... so the real fishing started we laned ray after ray and stef was still on the doggies.. sorry he got a couple of whiting during the night... about 8.30 the bellies where on empty so me and stef went in search of breakfast,, the little shop in the village was the port off call and the lady of the shop made up a few bacon butties... SORRY ANTO BUT WE ATE SOME OF THEM ON THE WAY BACK...... during the day we where getting fish on almost every cast and anto got the first conger nice one.. all fish where returned alive bar a few pollack that we used for conger bait.. tornadeo8 arrived about 2pm and on his first cast landed a fine gunnard.. with a 6pound ray to follow.... good crack all round.. anto had the biggest ray of the session weighting in at 8.6.. i set up a small abu spin rod with a small shinamo2500 reel and had great crack spinning pollack.. one to about 3 pound great fight.... i will leave it at that hopefully the other lads add abit more.. pleanty of pictures to add..... enjoy.......

Some fine fish there Alan. Anto's conger was a cracker if i hooked into that steff would have laughed his hole off watching me trying to get it in. I'll be down in couple weeks hopefully we can meet up and i'll bring the tent(only a 3 star).

Well done Alan, great report and pics,that was some marathon session. Was that Steve Irwin in the shorts :roll:
