People: Solo
Duration: Ages
Tide: Up & Down
Weather: Very nice
Bait : Rag, Sand eel, Peeler Crab & Mackerel
Rigs : All types
Results: 65 Dogfish, 8 Plaice, 2 Small Codling
Report:
Started out on Clone Strand on Saturday evening and was impressed with the amount of Dog fish at the start but as the evening went on was soon getting 2 fish on every cast so tried changing the size of the hook and then the bait but continued to catch numerous doggies. Sunday tried Kilmichael Point and while still continued to catch lots of dogs, I managed to catch some Plaice and 2 small codling. The point seems to have more to offer than just doggies and I also saw a couple of nice Bass caught.
Sorry this report is so short but twinkle just called me and we are of to Howth to see if we can get out for a few hours. If it happens I will let you know how it goes. Dave

you never told them of the hardship of gathering bait for the first time
. or your first time robbing peelers
.its all part of your first report
catching the fish is only half the story
