gunwell 04/06/10

People:me and friend

Duration:00.30-4.00pm

Tide:high 6.30am

Weather:showers in the morning but day was hot

Bait:mac, sand eel, lug

Rigs:2 hooks down

Results:pollacks few macs, dogs and plenty nice ballan, corcwing wrrase.




Report:not much happens at night just several dogs as dawn and tide started good wrrase and few pollack began to feed so had a busy day good few packs of mullets were run up and down but didn't bother to fish for them just enjoed to wach them would be good spot for someone who looking for them as i spot spiesments 5-6lb easy

Spesies 2012/ flounder, turbot, colie, whiting,thornback ray, dogfish, pollack, ballan wrasse, corcwing wrasse, dab, cod, sea trout, mackerel, smooth hound

Nice one grady, sounds like you where kept busy alright!
I've fished the gunwell a few times myself, it can be a very good spot in the summer for pollock and wrasse with the deep water and rocks there is. I haven't been back down that way for years, I must get a run down sometime and see if the place has changed much.
If your there again and you spot the mullet give them a go, they are great craic :wink:
