Meeting up in sutton

#1 Post by sensor »

Hi Guys
If anybody is willing to help out with the RECENTLY CREATED situation in sutton we would be looking at friday, saturday or sunday to start the clear up.By the amount down there it may take a couple of days work but will be well worth it and send a clear message to these guys.

If we can aggree to a day by replying to the topic so everybody can see the replys, then we could post a definate day or maybe couple of days.I will be able to go all days..Hopefully we get enough replys to make a real impact.

Also does anybody have a contact number for somebody/agency to dispose of the tyres once they are removed or any other legal alternative.?

Whilst I cant make it myself, I would suggest contacting the local TD who may be able to arrange collection of the scrap you remove.

Perhaps contact the Herald, who can do a piece on your activities which should go a long way to improve the reputation of the local sea angling community.

Ah I am away this weekend but if it runs into Monday let me know and I'll be there to help.
As I said before it would be wise to let the local garda know what you are doing and ask them
to make an appearance even if it's just for a while. Hope you get a good few from here to help
as it would send a great message out about anglers.

Hi Lads
So far only one person wanting to meeting up.If we are to go to the local T.D. and council to arrange a clean up day we would need more than two of us to make the impression that anglers do actually care and are prepared to act. When we do arrange this the Herald will do the story again.Would look great if there were anglers involved here.Obviously people have many other things going on and cant make it but if you can, send in a quick quote so we have an idea of numbers, then we can contact the local groups and arrange to meet.
