Tide: High at 9.04pm 4.33m
Weather: Strong Westerly wind, cloudy.
Bait: Mackerel
Rigs: 3 hook flapper, conger trace.
Results: 1 Conger.
Report: Arrived down at the mark to be greeted by a strong Westerly wind, nice colour in the water so i was hoping for a fish or two, got myself set up and threw a 3 hook flapper out about fifty yards, nothing came in but a bit of weed every cast, after a couple of casts i lost my rig so i said would give the Congers a go as i hadn't tried this year so far, threw a 6/0 trace just to the edge of the rocks with a nice big chunk of mackerel on the end, after about fifteen minutes my ratchet clicked, it then clicked a couple of more times, so i decided to pick it up and strike, could feel the fish straight away but he was stuck in a rock, got him out after a minute and lifted him up onto the shore, i was chuffed
