Results:Me 2 coalies, 1 codling, 1 plaice
Davy 6 coalies, 2 flounder, 1 plaice
Report:Had a pleasant evening at Waterfoot pier fishing the last 2 hours of the flood, and then high water. Plenty of bites pretty much once we set up . No fish were of any size, but were plentiful ( until the rag ran out !!! ) . A guy fishing on the corner caught the fish in the photo. Can anyone tell me what it is ?

Thanks folks. I'd never seen the like of it, and the guy who caught it didn't want to touch it lol . What sort of size do those critters grow to ?

Most of them are small but I think they can grow to over a pound or two. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong

Had one to 20 something cm in wicklow pier last year - biggest I've seen so far

apparently 1-2lbs, but i caught a massive one about 4lbs. could've near fitted my head inside its mouth. used my jumper to hold the bugger and throw it back lol.

Waterfoot pier was fairly quiet. There was us 2, and then the other 2 boys who landed the sea scorpion. It was well over a pound in weight, maybe a pound and a half. You could have put your fist in it's mouth !
