wicklow bass mark 19/5/10

#1 Post by eric »

People: me, shane and john

Duration: 9-3am

Tide: hw 1am

Weather: msity as fook

Bait: crab, rag and eels

Rigs: up and over pulleys and two hook clipped downs

Results: starry smoothounds, common smoothounds, codling and whiting

Report: obvioulsy we didnt head to a bass mark after the ban, dont be silly  but i bet it did make you open this report to take a look didn't it? any way a plan was hatched to hit a wicklow beach in the hope of a ray but upon arrival the predicted south westerly was indeed a full on southerly. with a surf like this coming in a ray of any discription was off the cards and worst off all it did look ideal for bass. :x

luckily we had a few crab and rag with us so with a few pups in mind we were able to target them effectivley with shane getting two, a common and a starry. myself and john had to settle for codling and whiting. truth be told this was exceptionaly crap fishing with not even a dog turning up when the sea calmed down.

might not have been one of the best sessions eric, but at least your getting a bit of try run for when the bigger smuts move in later in the year  we'll have to get a run down for a crack at em in august/september when the mum's and dad's move in :P
