I can safely say, Any rod I had was cherished and looked after no matter what make/type etc, I started of with an old handed down rod, which at the age of 7 or 8 thought was great, I was then bought a new shakesphere one for christmas boy was i proud of it, still have it somewhere, must of used it solely for at least 20 years.. have had few more along the way caught fish with them all, some last some dont, but you get what you pay for...But worst was prob a telescopic one a got on hols few years back rod and reel €5..10ft rod. but did the job used it for 3 years...rings fell of it lost few top sections on its last outing..lol.. but for €5 it was great  ..

[quote="Rampent Wreckfish"]Have to agree with denis here.

piece of S**t[/quot

i find it amazin how some people find century's s**t i have used an awful lot of different makes including greys and zziplex and started to use centurys about 8 years ago and found every model i bought excellent especially the tt match mk1 and new kompressor s.. i suppose every1 to their own but century hold numerous casting titles and are hugely sought after in england by big names in fishing including alan yates who said the tip tornado match was a 1 on his favourite rods ever and a firm favourite of his on the beach to this day.. they are my fav rod brand but i suppose its whatever suits you  8)

I used to be a century fan but both my crest and ttr are causing problems with the spigot swealing and the rods not going together . zziplex all the way now

i have a few tip tornadoes both the match and sports both new models and i have always liked the range both old and new and i have never had any problems with any of them.but haveing said that there are other rods i didnot like but other people seem to love,so i guess its down to personal choice, what suits one wont suit another.

i got a fish scene carp rod in tk maxx last summer, the cast on it is pretty good if i been honest but everythin goes down hill from there, it bends in half with a little 2ounce weight, any bitta movement in the water and the things vibrates more then a rampant rabbit and when ya hook into the smallest of fish the rod decides its going to come apart, but still caught few nice fish on it
