lovely fish mate well done indeed, the north coast beaches have a habit of throwing up a good turbot every so often.seem to be a lot of them about the north coast at the moment, though not as big as this one by the way!!!!!

she was a beast mike   i could'nt get over the size of it :o that's one of those fish of a lifetime man, really well done. i was really hoping when i checked it that it was gonna be smoothe and not bumpy as you would have had a record breaking brill there man, but a 9lb 14oz turbot from the shore is a cracker in anyone's book  i've always heard rumors of the odd biggie being taken from that wee beach, but never actually seen one of them until then, so mabey there is some truth in the rumours of the big bass from there too    the pics really don't do it justice thow. you could have threw that thing on your back and done an impression of a teenage mutant ninja turtle
keep in touch man and we'll get out when you're back up again, that rock mark i was telling you about has started to fish well again. so provided it stays dry we'll get out and give it a good throw man.
well done again man,
Al.

Congrats. That's the best fish caught by anyone on this forum since I've been using it. (in my opinion and no offense to everyone else) If you tell us now it's not your PB turbot I'm packin it all in. Only ever seen 4 or 5 oz turbot round here. Brilliant fish and congrats again!!!

That's the stamp of fish you'd be delighted to catch somewhere like the Banks in Jersey, boat angling.

Catching it shore angling... exceptional fish!

Now you'll just have to hunt down a double-figure Turbot....
