a suprise session 17th may

#1 Post by doggie3131 »

People:me, jason,and james

Duration:3.30 -12pm

Tide:high at 9pm

Weather:sweet!

Bait:lug,fresh mack,sandeel

Rigs:all sorts

Results:

Report:got a call from jason about one on monday,"going fishing" says he,"sound" says i,and of we went, james was to join us later, after we had dug! the lug the lazy bugger!got set up and on my first cast reeled in a small flounder 25cm,james arrived and he set up,three deckchairs in a row,the sun beaming down on us,and a fish landed for me,heaven! soon after i got another bite, but i did the flounder sit! :D and left it for a while.but when i brought it in,there was only one flounder on the rig, mind you he was 37cm! 8) supper sorted then! time for food we though, so out came the coffee and sarnies, and of course as soon as that happened jasons rod started nodding and a nice flounder was landed, 28cm,so that was jason of the mark, things went quiet for a while, and we were contenplating a move when i got a stonking bite, and the rod went balistic, got a great fight,(god i love my goldie)and i thought i had my first bass as it tore up and down the beach! but as it came thru the surf it turned into a nice seatrout, 43cm,just over two lb,we gave this spot another hour, and jason got another flounder 24cm,and i got one 17cm and that was that.we moved over to a nearby pier but it was unuasully quiet and jason was the only one in with a dog,so we packed up around twelve.nice unexpected session.no pics im afraid i left the camara in the boat.

8) nice one, I quite like these impromptu sessions, they can often throw up a surprise result. Hope your camera survived the last trip without water damage, if you need one, I have one in spare, just in case

Nice one Noel sounds like a nice days fishing especially after catching a lovely Sea Trout, just thinking if it had a been a Bass we would have not believed you as you had no camera. :)

Well done everyone, it sounds like a good time was had by all. Good weather & catching fish - heaven 8)
Well done Noel on getting your seatrout, I'm still after my first one of the year, hopefully I'll get one soon.
Jason - well done on not digging any lug and getting the rest of them to get some.I hate digging for worms! It's a horrible job but they are a great bait so it has to be done I guess if you want to maximise your chances of catching something.
