Good to see ni anglers doing something to improve their lot by setting up marine parks to keep the trawlers out. They have taken an interest in irish bass at last. I think terry jackson is involved as he is a rep for Irish anglers and is highly thought of by the ifsa.

Looks like MCNI has died a death. Sad, I was really hoping our NI angling reps would have at least kept us up to speed on how MPA's will impact upon recreational and commercial fishing.

Why? I have no problems logging in? Try the first link fishermandan007 has posted, maybe the post in relation to the second link was deleted?

I can log in too but the forum is dead. Every question posed on the forum remains unanswered by the very people who are purporting to represent ni sea anglers. I cannot see why they ever bothered to open the forum if it was not to be used for general discussion on matters concerning MCNI. I dread the day fishing and bait digging is banned from my local beach because it has become part of a Marine Park or Marine Protected Area. I have made my submissions regarding the Northern Ireland Marine Bill and would hope that my representatives have done likewise as their clout is greater than mine. Every commercial fisherman I know has a personal interest and input re this Bill whereas I don't know one ni angler who has shown anything but apathy towards it.

right so, got it, thought you had troubles accessing the site. Unfortunately I cannot help you in regards of lack in board popularity issues, that's up to the site admins. Maybe get in touch with them per phone or PM, you should get a response, provided they are still committed to it, which is a different issue altogether.

Thank's The Austrain, I should have said the forum was dead and not MCNI.

It would appear that the life support system has been switched off at last.
