May 4th

Was itching to get out spinning for a couple of hours to see if I could tempt any big Pollock up from the depths. After getting an eight pounder a couple of weeks ago. Although on arrival the wind was blowing directly into my face making casting very difficult , it felt like a day in March. After a bit of rock hopping & armed with a spinning rod & box of lures was soon fishing & into a nice Coalie, blank saved happy days, with four smaller ones shortly after & two nice Pollock around the 3lb mark .

May 11th

Had an hour to spare so tried a few shots & after five minutes or so was into a small Pollock followed by another two better ones, just over 2lb, was thinking to myself it was going to be a busy session, but it was not to be , apart from two more little ones the size of the spinner!!

Not sure of the name there sold individually in the tackle shop in a plastic packets for €2.50,thats a bigger & identical version of the one I normaly use, I find the smaller ones alot better & lighter for casting!!
