shimano rarenium

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Was looking at the stradic, technium and the rarenium myself, but I went for a good quality used stella instead.

I looked at it, like I would if I was buying a car. I woudnt buy a brand new nissan, I'd buy a quality used mercedes (i've used this comment purely for explanatory reasons  )

Have to say, best reel I have ever had in my hands in terms of build quality and you'd never know it was 2nd hand to look at it, came in original box, instructions (altyhought they're in japanese :? ),. tools, reel pouch etc - its top drawer, and only cost me €200 delivered.

Sorry I cant comment of the rarenium.

Good luck whatever you decide.

€200 Delivered  alright that got my attention even if it is second hand. Where did you get it, Ebay? Actually out of curiosity which model did you go for? I know the Japanese domestic range is a little wider than the ones we get here with different gear ratio options and that kind of thing.
