Nothing off North Clare yet. The odd one or two coming off the suicide mark near Kilkee.

Dunlicky or Bridges of Ross?
Anything from further out? I was going to launch the boat next week and head out to Bishops Stack beyond the pollock holes

13 degrees lads. As far as I am aware the inshore water temperature needs to reach this before they show up in numbers. I think the Irish Sea is about 10 degrees at the moment so if will probably be another month at least on the east coast.
List 2010. fish

List 2011: less fish

2012: less fish again,

2013: even less fish.

was fishing off the harbour wall in fethard wexford on sat 8th may and a boat came in with 4 ful boxes of mack estimate about 3 hundred good size too got a box off the lads for free woohoo there in my freezer for bait but there coming in and look like there moving up the east coast at last and the boat was out at the key rocks no where near the saltees so not too far off the land they will be getting caught in bullock harbour next week end i bet
when fishing on the beach, more important than bait are two things
1, a seat cause a cold wet arse is no good
2, jax roll cause you dont want to get caught out!!!! and using your socks is rough!!

Was down in Ballycotton this evening. Lads were catching them at a steady pace. In the minute or two I was there about a half dozen were landed between three anglers.

'Patchy' fish being got from the shore in the South-East...
They came early last year, I hit them in June so it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of them showed over the next few weeks. (I think the fish have 'wised-up' to the 'September mackie bashers'... )
