ballyconeely, 9th may

People: myself saltydog and gfkelly

Duration: 1-5

Tide: h about 3

Weather: fairly strong northerly, blowing sand and the like

Bait: squid sandeel mackeral, lug

Rigs: 3 hook flappers, pulley

Results: zilch

Report: 6 rods no fish, had the strippers turn up again on my baits i was more to the south of the lads. - their baits werent touched

same beach i had fished before - was thinking that the 2 months would have brought some fish in - but no completely dead

gerry went to another spot later and nothing either

any body have any positive fish tales from the shore round ballconeely?

Fished down that way a couple of weeks ago myself , same result as yourself mate . Like yourself I'd like to hear something good from that neck of the woods too

shore species 2010~~~ dab,flounder,thorneback ray,pollack,plaice,coalies,turbot,wrasse,bull huss, lsd...

boat trips 4 result..pouting,, spurdog.pollack,
shore trips 2010.... 36.....

wish list 2010..sea trout....

hard luck lads :( . still some areas waiting to turn on yet :roll: i'll give you a shout for the letrim leg of our tour of the counties until around june i reckon brian. you still up for a chuck then?

yea lucky definitely better off not being there - salty even tried periwinkles and limpets

even the rock pools were empty - surely the place cant be dead all the time!

The place looks like a Ray haven but nothing doing the only sign of life out there were spider crabs, limpets and periwinkles lots of them all around the place..... very tasty too the winkles that is!!
